WHY MANAGE CONFLICT?

Conflict between people is inevitable and, in some situations, it can even be helpful – it is constantly around in our families, workplaces, organisations, and communities.

Peace is often misunderstood as the absence of conflict; however, peace is really the effective resolution of conflicts before or as it arises.

Conflict should never be confused with violence - violence, whether it be mental, physical or online abuse, is unacceptable in all circumstances.

WHAT IS CONFLICT MANAGEMENT COACHING?

Robyn is trained in CINERGY® Conflict Management Coaching model.

In the words of CINERGY®’s founder, Cinnie Noble, the model: “provides a future-oriented, results-oriented, and goal-oriented approach that combines executive coaching, neuroscience and conflict management principles. It is designed in such a way that it not only helps reduce the confusion that comes with conflict, it also helps clients gain increased confidence and competence to engage more effectively at these times.

This specialised coaching framework may be used before conflict arises (when it is anticipated), while going through a dispute, or after a conflict when residual negativity lingers”.

WHY INVEST IN THIS COACHING?

Given that conflict is inevitable, conflict management skills are important life skills.

This coaching will help you to:

  • manage a current conflict positively

  • prevent a current tension from escalating into a full-blown conflict

  • reflect on a historical conflict and start moving forward

  • gain insight to your own conflict behaviours

  • enhance your conflict management skills

  • sustain and build better relationships.

WHAT IS THE CONFLICT MANAGEMENT COACHING PROCESS?

The coaching starts with you clarifying your own goals for the coaching. You will then be led you through a process, whereby you:

  • talk about what interactions/s precipitated the conflict

  • deconstruct the conflict and, in doing so, develop new awareness, insights and perspectives

  • explore possibilities for a plan of action to reach your stated goal/s, and consider the pros and cons of the possible choices

  • reconstruct the situation

  • ground the challenges that may impeded your plan, once confirmed

  • confirm your next step/s.

Towards the end of the process, and if relevant, you will get the opportunity to rehearse any proposed conversations and come away feeling well-prepared and confident.

After your real-life next step (if you are have one) you will be able to debrief in a safe and confidential setting - reflecting on what worked well and not so well, fine-tuning your skills, and setting any further next steps, if required.

WHAT ARE MY DELIVERY OPTIONS?

The coaching can be delivered face-to-face, by video conference or over the phone, as you require.
